A Big Thank You to Adony Beniares of Linkedin, (pictured above) for hosting The Association for Facilities Engineering Silicon Valley Chapter’s signature event, Day with a Facilities Professional at Linkedin headquarters in Mountian View.
The event on May 3 was a big success with students from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, San Jose State, and Cal Maritime Academy in Vallejo shadowing professionals from some of the Valley’s most prestigious companies, including NetApp, Lockheed Martin, and of course Linkedin.
Now in its 51st year, DWFP matches engineering students with professionals who are facility managers, facility engineers, those in facility maintenance and operations, construction and many other professions. Hundreds of professionals working now in the field have gone through this time honored program.
If your company would like to host the event next year, please contact chapter President Raffy Espiritu today! Thank you to all who participated this year!
What’s up next? AFE Silicon Valley Golf Classic, Monday August 5 at San Jose Country Club.
