AFE Silicon Valley Chapter Wins Three National Awards

AFE Executive Director Wayne Carley and AFE Board Chair Wayne Saya present Stan Nakaso, AFE Silicon Valley Student Chapter Liaison with one of the three awards won by the Silicon Valley Chapter on September 11, 2012 in Washington D.C.

The AFE Silicon Valley Chapter 39 won three out of the seven awards presented by the Association for Facilities Engineering at its awards presentation on Tuesday September 11, 2012 in Washington D.C.

The Silicon Valley Chapter won:

  • Best Large Chapter
  • Best Membership Marketing
  • Best Newsletter

Raffy Espiritu, AFE SV Vice President and Stan Nakaso, Student Chapter Liaison attended and accepted the awards in behalf of Bob Adamo, Chapter President and all the chapter volunteers.

Espiritu said, “Bob was the main driver of the chapter’s programs that led to the outstanding accomplishments that were achieved this year.”

Jerry Biron, Regional Vice President for the Northwestern Region, nominated the chapter in all of the awards, noting that Chapter 39 did marvelously in advancing the interest of AFE for its members. Biron said, “the Silicon Valley chapter has effectively made AFE’s presence known in Silicon Valley as an organization of influence in the facility management profession.”
