Outstanding Tour at Brocade October 17

by Carole Lucido on October 19, 2012

On Wednesday October 17, Brocade hosted an outstanding AFE meeting for the Silicon Valley Chapter.  More than 45 members and guests were treated to a presentation on how Brocade’s facility team planned construction of the company’s world class campus.  Facility Engineer Nathan Lattyak, a Cal Poly grad, detailed the planning and implementation of building 1, a 75,000 square foot data center with R&D Labs.

AFE members enjoyed learning about the comprehensive planning process that the team used to achieve three key goals:

  • Energy Efficiency
  • Scalability
  • Sustainability

AFE members had the unique opportunity to ask questions concerning the details of the operation of this state of the art facility.

After the tour, Brocade treated the AFE to Oktoberfest complete with sausages, pretzels, corned beef, and a variety of beer!

Thank you to Rob Eggers, Victor Garcia, David Schlie, Nathan Lattyak, Mark Azarello, and Adam Ball.

Nathan Lattyak Facility Engineer at Brocade discussed a wide variety of innovative and strategic features built into the company’s state of the art facility in San Jose.

David Schlie filled in some of the details on the facility.
