How Do You Classify Yourself?
| Full Member |
An individual involved in the field
of plant engineering/facilities management (including engineering, management,
operations, maintenance, administration, education) who meets at least one of
the following criteria:
- has a four year ABET accredited degree in engineering,
architecture, or engineering technology.
- is a registered Professional Engineer (PE) or architect or is a
Certified Plant Engineer (CPE).
- has at least four years management level plant
engineering/facilities management experience.
- has at least eight years relevant plant engineering/facilities
management experience in any of the above mentioned areas.
- has for at least ten years provided technical services directly
to plant engineering/facilities management.
Voting on national AFE issues and holding national office is
limited to those in this classification |
| Associate Member |
An individual
involved in plant/facilities engineering, management, operations, administration,
or education who does not meet the requirements of the full member classification. |
| Affiliate Member |
A person not meeting the
qualifications defined above who is primarily a vendor serving facilities management. |
| Active Duty Enlisted
Military Member |
To further support the
advancement of active duty enlisted military personnel
skill and leadership development, AFE has now developed
this special member classification. |
Membership Renewals
AFE operates on an anniversary date membership renewal system. Therefore, your membership
will be good for 12 months from the month you join.
The opportunity to learn, lead and influence through networking, industry information,
career development, and having a voice in your industry. Membership in AFE can bring all this
and more to you.
